Northfield Banner

Northfield Works
Northfield works. Young lives flourish here. We tend to them as carefully as tender saplings in a grove, and if they are willing, the fruit that their efforts produce will last their lifetime. The numbers speak volumes:
The secrets of our success include small classrooms, a tight-knit community, a shared love of God, and desire to search for the truth. While our work at school is rigorous, we don’t require walls and doors to make our classrooms; we find opportunities to learn in everything we do.

And “everything we do” covers a lot of ground. Northfield students devote one day per week to community service. They perform Shakespeare and improvisational comedy. They reenact historical moments. And most important, they make a joyful noise: Northfield students are expected to participate in choir and encouraged to participate in band and/or orchestra. As one of the liberal arts, music is essential to the life of the school. It encourages students to listen with care and to become participative.

At Northfield, learning is alive, and no one is anonymous.

Northfield works. But we need your help so that we can continue to work for your children and for the community. Compared to every other private school in the area, the cost of a Northfield education is minimal, and it is a stable tuition—that is, costs to attend do not go up with the age and/or grade of the student. Over 50% of our student body receives some kind of financial help from Northfield. If you would like to join us in our efforts to provide children with a chance to succeed, not just in college, but in life, consider making a donation to our scholarship fund. We can help you find a student who would most benefit from your support, or you may make your donation to the general scholarship fund.
