One of my best memories of January School is my first visit to Sewanee. The first sight I saw was a long road lined by trees and green grass, and tall stone buildings. I will always remember the chapel, with its high, curving ceiling, its rows of stained glass saints, the bright, yet not harsh light, and the great stained glass image of a triumphant Christ, shining in the warmth of the afternoon sun. Every time I see Sewanee, I am struck by its simple, timeless beauty.
