Quinn Lake is a versatile cellist and music educator who is equally at home performing in a baroque ensemble and a rock band, as a soloist and symphony musician, teaching toddlers and college students and everything in between.
A native of Kalispell, Montana, Quinn received her bachelor’s degree in cello performance from Lawrence University (Appleton, WI) and her master’s in performance as well as extensive work toward a master’s in music education from Wichita State University.
Quinn has performed with the Wichita Symphony and Wichita Grand Opera Orchestras since 2004, and also performed for a season with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the apprentice orchestra of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Quinn is a founding member of Wichita Baroque Ensemble, ICTrio, and has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Jackson, MI; Hays, KS; and Wichita, KS.
A passionate educator, Quinn maintains a full-time studio with 35 cello students of all ages and levels. She has served as Chamber Music Director at Bows at the Barn strings camp (Maize, KS) since 2009, and is often involved in educational interdisciplinary musical collaborations such as with the Wichita Art Museum and The Big Read.
